First paddle
After returning home from California on Monday morning, Paul went to work, and I did laundry. We left Wednesday morning for Stevenson, Washington, the site of the Gorge outrigger races. We've been coming down for 10 years now and it's a great spot. The town is friendly, the race is fun, and up the road you can check out some amazing windsurfing at Hood River.
We brought an inflatable boat and Holly's paddle that Daddy bought her in the Cook Islands and let her go out for a little paddle. She was singing........ yes, a Backyardigans song....... this one was "row, row, row your boat, to the other side" - sung to the tune of Row, Row, Row Your Boat. In the show they are actually kayaking so it really isn't rowing, but you can't explain that to a 2-year old!
