Miniature Train Festival
Today we went to the Miniature Train Festival at Confederation Park. I've always wanted to come here myself, and now with Holly we have a great excuse to go. It was fun seeing all the different trains. Each one was driven by a grandfatherly-type man who was probably the train's owner and I can imagine them spending days on end here, polishing up their trains and working on the park.
It's a great place with quite the track system. You head out between trees, go over bridges, through tunnels and see little buildings along the way. They are even in the midst of building an elevated track! We'll definitely be coming here for the Hallowe'en train ride!

I forgot the camera at home, but wanted some photos, so had to use the camera on my phone... this was taken during the ride as we were about to pass another train coming the other way.
I tried to get a photo of Holly mid-ride, but had to reach around Paul to try and get a shot of her...
Another shot during the ride - with the bridge above which we also crossed during th ride which probably lasted around 5-10 minutes.
We were sitting on the caboose with the conductor. He was really nice and very friendly. He even offered us a chance to get some photos with the engine after the ride. Thanks Auntie Janet for this photo too!
