Seattle Getaway
We went to Seattle for the weekend. Daddy was speaking at a dinner and we all went for a nice getaway. Holly was very excited to be going to a hotel with a pool! She loves staying at hotels, especially ones with pools - I think partly because she gets to sleep in the same room with us. I packed her little suitcase with some toys and books and she had fun following Dad when we got to the Sheraton.
Daddy was checking in and put our suitcase beside the counter - Holly had to line hers up right beside his.

Poh-Poh (my mom) came with us to stay with Holly while Paul and I attended the dinner. Holly used my camera to take a photo of her when we got to the room.
After we checked in, went to our room, and went up to the banquet room, we went for a swim - Holly had a lot of fun sitting on the edge of the hot tub.
The theme at the banquet was zebras - there was even an amazing ice sculpture of one! I'm not sure how long it took them to make this, but the sculptor had to carve out the stripes, pack them with shaved ice and then freeze the whole thing again. You can see it was made in 2 pieces (top and bottom) - it lasted from 5pm until nearly midnight when we were heading out!

We were going to bring Holly up after dinner, but she crashed while my mom was changing her diaper after dinner! I headed back to the banquet room and we were able to relax and have fun without worrying about it being too late for her. Thanks for coming, Mom!
